toothache....????

ok ladies.. so i'm already a mess this week. But here's the quick story... about 2.5 months ago i had horrible pain in one of my teeth.. went to the dentist..couldn't afford the root canal at the time.. so he did that thing where they go in and cut out the nerves i guess to relieve the pain. Well ..sunday i had pain there.. so i got a dentist to see me. He said it shouldn't be pain from my tooth cause i wouldnt feel it there since the nerves are gone.. so he's guessing the infection is in the bone now and maybe my sinus but he's not sure. So he gave me an antibiotic... and now i'm like sooo worried. My anxiety is in full gear.. the way i;ve been feeling so light headed and crappy lately i worry.. like i've heard of things abscessing to the brain and all that..and now my mind is running like crazy...
should i be super worried??? or should the antibiotics help since i don't have any major symptoms!! sorry to sound nuts..but i can't help myself..lol. Thanks girls

I had a similar problem 2 years ago. I had a root canal ... but it kept hurting. went back to my dentist and he said it was prob an infection. Got an antibiotic... that didn't help. I went to a different dentist (cause at this point I figured mine didn't know what the heck he was doing) and he found another very small nerve canal in the tooth. It was so tiny it hardly showed up on the xrays. Once he went in and removed that nerve... the pain was gone.

In your case... I wouldn't be that worried about the infection abscessing to the brain so quickly. But, if the antibiotic doesn't help... def get a second opinion!

i am pretty sure if the dr thought it was something major he wouldnt have given you a perscription and sent you on your way.

usually if they think its anything serious they will send you directly to the er, but i am the same way i worry about things


try not to think about it, your have antibotics and youll feel better soon
