that is crazy, and i'm so sorry you have to go through that. it seems much better that you move in with your sister at this time. you don't want to be surrounded by that kind of negativity. things will pick up and you need to be with people who make you feel great about this special time!:)

keep talking to your fiance and try to keep each other's spirits up. as long as the two of you stay happy about your marriage, you will be alright. i know it's so difficult, but you'll make it through. hopefully your family will get on the bandwagon and decide to enjoy it with you...there's nothing you can do if they don't so keep your head up and i'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Rosemarie I am so sorry. since you hadn't posted about that in a while, I thought perhaps your parents had cooled off a little. I am very sorry to hear that is not the case.

I am not very close to either of my parents OR my maternal grandfather b/c they are the same way. although you may be linked by blood, I think it is very good for YOU to cut out any negative people in your life. you don't deserve to be treated like that. Kudos to your fh too, for remaining calm and respectful in such a situation, when he could have easily (and understandably) sunk to your father's level.

you guys can still have a nice wedding with the money you have...it may not be at Oheka, but you will do it on your own, without having to deal with that abuse. a WEDDING is simply not worth it, and definitely does not make the MARRIAGE.

Oh Rosemarie...I was wondering what has happened...I am so sorry that you have to go through this. It seems like your father is a very troubled man. I think you're making the right decision by moving out. It might be hard at first but you will be A ok in the long run. I wish you all the best wishes, and although you're putting your wedidng plans at halt, dont worry, everything happens for a reason... Take care. I can say I have similar situation but not as bad (well since i moved out 3 years ago).

I am sure your father really doesn't mean what he says but I am also sure it is impossible to live with him (as I did move out because of the same reason).

You have to think positive in life and these situations only make you a strong person.
Just remember the outcome of your life is because of what you did for your life not him, all the credit goes to you. So when you do have that wedding whenever it is how big or small it is, you and your FH did it all on your own!!!!!
