FH and I were discussing this last night and I wanted to address the board. If you think this is intrusive and nosey, my apologies in advance, however for the rest.. HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK YOUR WEDDING IS GOING TO COST??

without honeymoon we are looking at about 55k so with honeymoon it will be over 60k....way too much

My reception alone is going to be almost 30K. But we are really scrimping and saving on vendors. Our vendors won't cost more than 10K.

its all relative...some1 could spend 90k on a wedding...but they will also have 300 ppl at their wedding..
so u have to take into consideration how many people will be in attendance.

more ppl = more plates/favors/centerpieces/invitations..yadda yadaa

Its easy to get swept away in 'we need this, we must have that'.

you can have a GREAT wedding on a low budget. Just decide whats important and what you want to/can spend money on.

i have a budget of abut 60k, but we're having a huge party for 300+. Because we both come from huge families, we can't even bring the list down some. Blame that on our grandparents for all having about 7 kids, add that along to all my cousins, his cousins, second cousins, oh gosh. I'm not going to even begin thinking about how much the hm is going to cost us. Did I mention that FH and I are paying for all of it ourselves? I'm going to be sick now...

My 'official' budget is $60K. But that doesn't include HM, or my gown, accessories, BP gifts, etc. That's just for the hall and big vendors. My mother is paying for my gown separately, and FIL's are paying for our HM.
