what do you guys think ?

Would you consider a party boat? That may have a nice carribean feel. My aunt eloped and when she got back they had a big reception with about 100-120 people and she chartered a boat out of Freeport. It was a great time!!

The only fusion like that I can think of Nakisaki in Hempstead. Not the best neighborhood to be in, but the restaurant has a nightclub that they can set something up really nice and the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! It is asian/jamaican cuisine.

I was gonna suggest Nakisaki also. We were considering them for our rehearsal dinner. Just give them a call at 516-292-9200 and they will fax you a menu.
$24.15 pp for 2 hours $26.45 pp for 2 hours (formal table settings w/linens, candles, and champagne toast) $28.75 pp for 3 hours (formal table settings w/linens, candles, and champagne toast)
You choose 4 entrees and they include tossed salad, rice & peas, fried rice and plantains. Soda coffee tea and cake.
Also try, Donna Marie's (I believe it's in New Hyde Park). They specialize in caribbean (mostly haitian) and italian food. I have never been there, but my family and friends love the food there.
