my parents are paying for the big things, RH, photographer, and my gown. We're paying for the DJ, and Limos. My in-laws to be are playing for the flowers and rehersal dinner.

I think that depends who you ask - we are paying for the majority of things - my dad & stepmom are paying for my dress and they're paying for who ever they want to invite which is great b/c thats about 10 ppl

we are paying for everything. FMIL has said she would pay for rehearsal dinner though and my parents are giving us a generous gift we can use for whatever we want!

i dont think there are any 'rules' anymore...
both sets of parents split the e-party costs
fh's parents are giving us money towards the wedding and paying for the rehearsal dinner
my mom and stepfather and then my dad and stepmother are also giving us money towards the wedding
fh and I will be paying for almost half the wedding and our honeymoon.

Dad told me he'd give me about half of what the wedding will cost... He gave me a number, but I'd rather not post it. I'm hoping it will cover more than half, but at the rate we're going... ARG!
Mom is paying for my dress and MAYBE the DJ.
FH and I are making the down payments for the RH ourselves right now, but his parents are throwing some money his way in one form or another, but aren't *officially* paying for something specific except the RD and they also paid for most of the E-Party (My Dad and FH chipped in a little for that as well).
It's all a joint effort for the most part.![]()

FH & FMIL believe that the 'rule' that the brides family pays is the way it goes. So unless I wanted to start a gigantic fight I just agreed.
Our expense breakdown is as follows:
My parents are paying for the RH, my dress & accessories, my shower.
FMIL is paying for the rehearsal dinner & all of the flowers.
I am paying for the band, photo/video, limos, FHs wedding band, invitations, menus, programs, place cards & favors.
FH is paying for my wedding band, entire honeymoon, & the Church.
I think that covers everything.

We are paying for everything except the rehearsal dinner because that is my brother and sister's gift to us.
I was hoping that my future in-laws would offer to chip in for something but no go. They don't even seem to care that their only son is getting married.

We spilt trhe hall three ways; My parents, his, and he & I.
My mom is taking care of my flowers, and part of my gown, along with grandma.
Fh & I are responsible for the rest.

FH and I are paying for pretty much everything. But, his parents put an initial $2000 down toward our hall and paid for our e-party. My grandmother is paying for half of my dress. So, every little bit helps.
