Topless on the beaches......don't TA's usually tell you?

Ok, so my BM and her FH are planning to go to Dominion Republic for Christmas this year. Well, it's all booked and what not and she was talking to me about the trip. I asked if she was going to go topless there. She was confused so I told her that on their beaches, women can go topless........she got REALLLLLLY upset about that. I was surprised that the TA never mentioned that to her when they were booking.........should they?

Anyways, now she doesn't want to go and I am trying to make her feel OK about it..............ugh! I feel terrible for telling her.......

My moms a TA...she tells ppl if it comes up in convo for the most part ppl dont care nor ask. Just bc it has a nude/topless beach doesnt mean ALL are like that.

So not ALL of the beaches in the DR are like that then? Hmmmmm, I guess she'll just have to phone her TA to find out which ones are and which ones aren't ......... but I wonder if she is able to switch her resort for this reason.....probably not, hey?

when i was in DR the women were all topless at the resort, in the pools and what not..the TA never said anything to me about it at all.

i have never been there so i dont know what its like

but i have been to tons of beaches that are considered 'topless' in Italy and honestly maybe like three people are topless. I was under the impression that all places outside of America can potentially be 'topless' and really only is it considered indecent here.

i hope she doesnt let it ruin her vacation bc its very common!

It's a lot more popular with the Europeans so when you go away outside the states people do what they want. FH and I took a cruise last year and I knew most of the beaches were topless, but didn't know some parts were totally Nude. At least on the topless side the women were attractive... we were walking on the beach in St Marteen and next thing you know there's lots of Old, Saggy Balls!! I couldn't stop laughing...

im not sure how all beaches are in DR but I know when my brother went he said the resort he was didnt allow it. He wasnt happy....he wanted to switch resorts! LOL

I know how to make her feel better: Tell her that topless women is not the worst thing to see in DR on the beach. There are some men in G -strings walking around

my friends just took there family including two children 5 and 9 to the hilton in DR and they never saw a person topless! The kids would have def. said something, so maybe its just some beaches?!?!

Not all the beaches in DR are topless. Different resorts have different policies.

We went to DR (Punat Cana) in September, and there were very few ppl topless. She has nothing to worry about. ( . ) ( . ) LOL

\I work in a travel agency and this is true! Not all the resorts are topless and not all the beaches are topless.

-grins- that may be the issue...she has them herself and she is on her honeymoon which means she wants her husband to appreciate hers and ONLY hers.

We are going to DR and I don't care. My FH (well then he will just be my H :) )can look all he likes. This is totally un-PC but he is picky about the boobs that are worth his attention -snickers- Not a big boob man. He has in the past when I complained baout my books, gone online and found pictures of other boobs -shakes head- to show me what he doesnt like-Its quite a bit.

Besides....mine are pierced sooooo probably more interesting to look my way anyway

I went to the DR and didn't see any boobies and my sister just got back a few days ago and she said no boobies at her resort either. We both stayed in Puerto Plata.

No that I am reading this I think that it applies to most Adult only resorts. I don't think its just DR. What about Mexico or Aruba?
