Topless on the beaches......don't TA's usually tell you?

Ok, so my BM and her FH are planning to go to Dominion Republic for Christmas this year. Well, it's all booked and what not and she was talking to me about the trip. I asked if she was going to go topless there. She was confused so I told her that on their beaches, women can go topless........she got REALLLLLLY upset about that. I was surprised that the TA never mentioned that to her when they were booking.........should they?

Anyways, now she doesn't want to go and I am trying to make her feel OK about it..............ugh! I feel terrible for telling her.......

I am Dominican and can tell you with certainty that not all beaches or resorts are topless. Honestly, it's frowned upon out there, but since many Europeans are now traveling to DR for vacations (and they have a 'topless is ok' policy) some of the resorts allow it to accomodate their customers.

But no, she has nothing to worry about.

No that I am reading this I think that it applies to most Adult only resorts. I don't think its just DR. What about Mexico or Aruba?

From what I've heard, the beaches in Mexico all belong to the state, not the resorts... and they don't have any laws against going topless so i think it also goes for resrts that are not adult only.

I admit it bothers me a bit just because i am really insecure and hate my body...but i've gotten used to it because I live in Germany so there's always boobs hanging out somewhere.

Some aruba beaches do. The renaissance has a private island which my DH and I went to...we didn't notice at first but then...we saw it! I was like , umm ok that's her thing.

From what I've heard, the beaches in Mexico all belong to the state, not the resorts... and they don't have any laws against going topless so i think it also goes for resrts that are not adult only.

I think we all have body issues of some kind. I stifle growls in the summer when I see 16 year olds with the bodies of models, wearing shorts to theit hoo-hah and flaunting it in front of every man who walks by. But we can all remember one thing that can calm us: 'Our husbands are not looking at them and thinking oooo. They are looking at us and thinking,'Wwhoosh! Thank God the wedding hassle is over and I can relax with the woman I love so much I actually put myself through that wedding craziness just to have her at my side for the rest of my life.'

My TA told us that one of our HM choices are on a Topless beaches, so we decidet to go somewhere else.
can she change the hotel, I know many flight is non refunable, but hotel you should able to change it. Or all DR beaches are topless?

Does she not want to go because she feels uncomfortable or because she doesnt want her husband to look at them? In either case i hope it all works out and that she understands its not a big deal

From what I understood from her, she is uncomfortable being on a vacation with her FH while girls are walking around with their tops off. To a point, I can see where she would be bothered by that. She is worried that her FH will be gawking at them instead of paying attention to her........
