Torn between 2 dresses!

I love 2 dresses and I can't decide which one I want!

Both are Maggie Sottero (I LOVE HER)...

I tried on Dress 1 (Chrystelle Lynette) last week and LOVED it. But it was too small and they had to pin it to my bra... so I couldnt really tell what the back would look like. I have a very pear shaped body... small shoulders, medium size boobs, medium waist, and big ol' hips/butt. So I was looking for a more a-line skirt since it's more flattering on me. And this dress was a LOT of skirt, which I didn't want, but I did like the way it accentuated my upper body. Plus I love how it's different- not your typical satin strapless, beaded dress that you see all the time... I'd probably cut the train just a little. The material is a very light, flowy chiffon, which I love.

Then I tried on Dress 2 (Aubre) today. I stepped out of the dressing room and my mom CRIED... she saw me try on about 15 dresses and this was the only one that made her cry! The dress just fit me PERFECT- it was my size and everything so of course it was easier to tell. I would be adding spaghetti straps because I don't want strapless. I love the sweetheart neckline, lace up back, and the organza material. Plus it makes me look SO thin. I just feel like it might look too typical- I wanted something a little more unique. But I really do love it ON me. The edge of the dress has little crystal beads- so small you can barely tell, but they glisten in the light.

Honestly, I think I'd be more comfortable in dress 2, and I think it's more flattering on me. But I was so set on dress 1 and I really do love the unique look of it... especially the top. It's also a newer style (Fall 07) Dress 2 is a Spring 06. I don't know what to do!! What do you ladies think?

If you were more comfy in dress 2 - go with dress two!!!

I think they are both GORGEOUS - but what matters is how you felt in it....if you felt the second was more flattering to your figure...i'd go with the more flattering...

How was the second dress? Was it in good shape? Are you okay with buying a sample?? That may be a great idea financially - especially if it fit you to a T!!!!

hm its a tough call bc they both really gorgeous....1 is unique...its different and i love the back....2 is classy....go with whatever one you felt more comfortable in....you are not going to regret either choice bc they are both stunning!

I really like dress #1, but don't let anything sway you (not even your moms tears) from the dress that you really like. Pick the one you felt comfortable and special in. (I picked the dress that my mom and sisters liked, and I keep questioning the choice) JMO though

I like the first dress better for the same reason as you....its more unique than the second dress. But the second dress is very pretty too. I think you should go with the dress that you feel more comfortable in.

Holy moley...they are both beautiful...I'm NO help at all...I could make a better decision if I saw you in them...

No wrong choice...flip a coin...lol...not really though...

I like option one better not sure why. Same thing happened with me and my mom. She liked one it made her cry. I choose the one I liked the most. You will look beautiful in either one.

I love both, I remember you posted the first one the other day and I loved it then....but the second is really pretty, and if you are more comfortable, maybe that's the answer....I wouldn't worry about being unique--you are unique and you will make either dress beautiful!! (although I do love how the first one is so different haha....so helpful, I know)

what it might come down to is hoe you felt in each of them. Did you feel more 'you' in either of them.

When I was shopping I tried to distinguish btw loving a dress and loving me wearing the dress.

style wise, i think #1 is very unique...

BUT...
since you are more comfy in # 2 then thats definitely the one you should get. its your day to be beautiful and the center of attention... in order to pull that off you NEED to be comfy.

I had the same problem when i first went shopping- I would fall in love with the dresses that zipped uo tight and were flattering- I had to keep reminding my mom and BMs that the dress WOULD fit like that when I ordered it! It's so hard to picture a dress when it doesnt fit!

I know that usually all of the shops have the same sample size- but you never know- why don't you call around and see if there is another shop with that dress in your size?
