I really want to do this, but I also want to do the longest married couple dancing thing. (you know where you weed out people on the dance floor until you have the people left that were married the longest) Maybe I'll do both. What are you doing?

Re: Tossing bouquet?
i def. do not want to toss it, and the longest married iwould have been my grandparents, but my grandfather died last year and i know if i gave it to someone else it wouldn't mean as much to me. I was thinking about dedicating it to my MOH who just got engaged a few months after me.... i am thining about saying...' instead of throwing my bouquet to see who is the next to be married, i already know who that will be.....etc.

We aren't doing either. We're going to have a 2nd dance together instead.

Re: Tossing bouquet?
I am definitely doing the BK toss. It is such an old tradition, I don't want to break. Not doing the garter thing though, Fh is to shy.

Tossing it, but for good luck instead of next to be married, this way all the women can get up.

No tossing. Not enough unmarried women in attendance.

Re: Tossing bouquet?
I am doing a bouquet toss but not a longest married couple dance. Had my father not just passed away, the longest married couple at the wedding would have been my parents - at 49 and a half years. No living couples on either side are even close! It will be too hard on my mom to do it. She always wanted a 50th Anniversary party. I actually have a wedding on their 50th anniversary and I told the couple it was a 'good luck date. ' They were honored to have their wedding that day!

Re: Tossing bouquet?
we had ONE single person at our wedding, so teh traditional tosses were not going to work for us.
But we still did both but instead of having 'only singles', we had everyone up there. And the catcher of the bo-k got to dance with the groom and the catcher of the garter got to dance with me.
People loved it at our wedding! All the married folks ran to the dance floor to try to get in on the action It was really cute
