Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
We think it will cost about 53 K the most, hopefully. As of now, we've committed ourselves to 46 K in venue and vendors.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
I am hoping for no more than 200 people...which will make the RH bill around $32,000. My vendors are around $18,000. So that's $50k for RH and Vendors. I dont know how much invites, rehearsal dinner, dress, gifts for BP etc will cost

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
Under $12,000 and that included everything:RH, dress, florist, photographer, hair, makeup, bp gifts, shoes, doj, supplies to make invites, centerpieces and dj. Also the candy and jars for the candy buffet(which were the favors),) pillow,fg basket and guestbook.
We had about 82 ppl. We saved A LOT of $$ first by getting married in Feb. It's a low season for all vendors so we really cut costs there. Also I did A LOT of diy.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
you guys should do this after the wedding
our initial budget and what we spent (and we haven't even totaled it up b/c we don't want to know the 'exact' #
) are two totally different things.....we wanted a 30-35K budget and we practically tripled that when it was all said and done
throw in the cost of my engagement ring, the gift i got DH for the wedding and the HM - forget it, def triple digits
i still am amazed at how we saved and managed to pay cash for everything - our next project is a house and i know if we were able to save so much for the wedding doing it for the house should be easier....
it would be fun (or depressing! Ha!) to see who keepts to budget, who stays under and who goes over after the wedding.....

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
I am going to stay within my max of 20K budget because I can't afford to past that. I am at 13k with everything and we will no let one more person come.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
Honestly - like some of the above posters said - i really don't think there is one average price of a wedding..every wedding is different... biggest factors to me? # of guests, time of year, and of course ur RH just in general. dh & i both have HUGE families so our guest list was really big..we got married in december & with EVERYTHING(honeymoon included) our entire wedding down to the little itty bitty details, my attire, etc. - was right around 60k

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
It depends on a lot of factors - where is your RH? How many guests? Will you have upgrades to your menu? Are you including your HM in that figure, and are you doing something extravagant? Are you including your dress, accessories, hair and makeup in that figure? There are girls on here woh have under 10K weddings, and girls that go way above 50K. There is no consistent average, it is what works best for you and your budget and the day you want to have.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
We were under 30K and that was for EVERYTHING, down to my veil, hotel rooms for my family, tips, tux rentals, donation to temple, literally everything, but not including the HM because we love to travel and we have a separate budget for that. We had a small wedding, but we didn't go for the cheapest menu or anything. We know we could have gotten cheaper menus but it would have been at RHs we didn't like as much.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
Right now I am estimating about 15K. Right now with all major vendors booked I am at 10K, so I think with all the miscellaneous items left, I might be able to get it all in within 5K.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
It really depends on your reception hall per head and your guest list. I could have easily done a $40K wedding but because I don't have the resources I went with a cheaper reception hall and got my cost down to about $26. I think you should also count on going over budget a bit. This doesn't include my honeymoon.

Re: TOTAL COST OF WEDDING - ESTIMATE!
That's right...I am having 200 guests, and we managed to stay in 35,000. The main thing is to do research on everything that you book. The more oriented you are, the best choice you can make, price and quality wise. Just because one thing costs more than the other, does not mean that it will be better.Good luck!
