Well I went to pick up my second prescription of Clomid yesterday and it was $54.00 dollars, I was like what last time it was covered, well I purchased it anyway and went home to investigate, before calling the insurance company I went thru all my papers and FOUND a intersting letter, I know on August 1st our copay went up BUT I didnt read past that Well they no longer cover Clomid!!!!! I was like that really stinks, I had gotten the first prescription early bc I know our co pay was going up, so I figured why not get it for cheaper price didnt realize that the next time it was going to be so much,
Its really not much if thing work out, I would pay any amount of money, it just seems to be another thorn in my side that just keep popping up, especially lately.
I justed wanted to vent. My next prescription which will go up to 150 mg will probably be even more money.
I just hope it works, I dont even want to think about how much anything else further on will cost!!

Sorry to hear that.
There's something wrong when Viagra can be covered but not Clomid.

Thanks- Actually Viagra is not COVERED anymore either !!!!
Its just annoying, if I knew about this ahead of time, maybe I would have speeded up the process or even asked for all 3 prescriptions at once and got them all filled, it just stinks that the time I am going thru this the plan decides to change, before I never got any presciptions or even really went to the Dr. and now that I need it, I have to Pay!!!!!! It just seems like its one thing after another, I cant wait for the silver lining to actually appear!

That sounds like a lot of money. When I pick up my clomid I look at the paperwork and it shows that the insurance company is billed like $24 and I only pay $4. I wonder why yours is so much more?

I am sorry to hear this happened. I know what its like to think that you are going to pay $10 only to find out the insurance isnt covering... Its very frustrating.. What insurance do you have? Good Luck and I hope this is the last time you have to get this prescription!!!

I dont know about the price, maybe because they had to double the dose, last time I got 5 pills and this time 10 bc we are uping the dosage to 100 mg and they come in ONLY 50 mg pills, if this is the reason, next month will cost me even more bc I am supposed to get a 150 mg dose.
My insurance is magnacare, my husband is a electrican in Local #3 and there were a bunch of changes, bad changes obviously, when there contract was up, and they took some stuff away.
It is the generic brand, I made sure of that, I need to start taking the meds tomorrow, so I cant use the drugstore.com
thanks though, I like the price a whole lot more, the stinky thing is I dont have the prescription until I get AF then they call it in maybe I can have them call next months into drugstore.com, BUT I need it by day 5 of AF, so I really cant chance it not being delivered on time, there is always some sort of problem IT STINKS, thanks for your help

We must have the same insurance company....some of DH's perscriptions are not covered anymore either.....

Can you use the pharmacy at Costco? I just checked on line and their price for 15 of the 50 mg. tablets is $36.19 for the generic. If you're a Costco member you could get it filled at the pharmacy there.

Thanks, Since tomorrow is when I start my pills, I am just going to keep my $54 dollar pills, But Costco sounds like a GOOD option for Next month if I need to get the 15 pills, thanks for the suggestion I really appreciate it all !!!!
