totally depressed...FH left

As if mondays arent' bad enough, my FH left to go back to work this morning. His ship is in Singapore, so he won't be home for another 5 weeks. Its so nerve wracking having him gone, not just for wedding purposes but in general. It seems like forever until he'll be home.

I cannot relate on the military aspect but my FI travels for work frequently -- in fact he is on West Coast now -- so I too, will happily keep you company.

Laura! its so sad when deployments happen...i totally understand. even when you know they're coming, its still tough, and sometime more so for the one not gone, because your kinda left in limbo. keep busy and 5 weeks will FLY by! and the way i always try to look at deployments, once they start your that much closer to getting it OVER with!!!

everything will be A-OK!

My MOH boyfriend graduated from King's point also. He was doing a job that was 2 months home, 2 months away. Now he's waiting to find something else because he's planning on going back to school next fall.

When did your FI graduate?

thanks girls!

FH is non military, thank god. He works for a oil exploration company. He'll be going out for 5 weeks and then home 4 weeks for the next few months. Saying goodbye just never gets easier and I never get used to it.

KL805 - Fh is a SUNY maritime grad, but his brother is a Kings Pointer, graduated 95, i think. He also worked on the training ship for a number of years after graduation.

Laura, I totally sympathize. Hopefully the five weeks will go by very fast. Do you get to talk with him by email/phone much over that time?

Try keeping yourself very busy - the wedding planning should help with that. And I am of the personal opinion that pampering (such as a massage or facial) always makes one feel better.
