Do you have to enter an area code when sending a fax if it's the same area code that you are sending from?
So do you have to put 1 before the number too?

I know in the boroughs you have to...just like dialing a number within the same area code.

not always. but if it doesn't go through the first time then try it that way. make sure you hit '1' first. my fax machine is temperamental and does that sometimes.

oddly one of my fax machines lets me just enter the number sans area code if it's the same..the other doesn't. its annoying.
