TOTALLY NWR: Shell Fishing (particularly clamming) on Long Island
Has anyone else ever gone clamming before? If so where do you go, I'm trying to find some better places!
If you've never gone clamming before you should try it, it's really fun plus you get a GREAT tan in the process!!!!

you should go to long beach or some where over there. by peters clam bar
you can also get on a boat that strictly does clamming. i used to go crabbing a lot...that is a lot of fun too.

I didn't know they had boats that just do clamming, that's something to look into! Thanks!

I haven't been clamming in AGES. We used to go to Fire Island... we would clam with our feet though. So much fun!

I live on the north shore and my brother goes claming in the huntington/cold spring harbor area. A few weeks ago he came back with COOLERS FILLED with clams! We had so many that we had a big clam bake with all his friends.

this sounds like fun and ending it with a clam bake sounds even better

Me n FH and his family go out of Freeport on jet skiis and 'park' on a little beach near a bridge. SOrry I can't really get specific cuz I'm clueless on how to get there really...... normally there's a great load of them. We've gotten two coolers once full of them. And of course, clam bake later that night! Fun Fun!

Yes we do! But I was hoping to find some places to just drive to or swim to....not too far though remember I have that fear of sharks thing!

so does FH that's why we rarely take the boat in the ocean!! you can go in the bay where the water is only knee deep..no sharks there I promise!! what town is your boat docked in?
