OK, so my Christmas suked big time...my DH just called and he wants to make up for it and ring in 06 the right way. But the caveat is that we never do anything so we're clueless. So, what do you guys normally do? Any ideas for a nice party/atmosphere where driniking, eating, dancing and no driving take place?

We need suggestions!

Well...normally we hate to go out on NYE...We both are not 'fans' of the holiday. Don't ask...we're not the 'norm'

This year we're ringing in the New Year with an early dinner with an AMAZING 'new' friend and her WONDERFUL new hubby...

We're usually the dorks that watch the ball and go ' whoop ti do!' then go to bed!

Ok...I'd say join us but we're celebrating way out east so that wouldn't help you coming from BK...

How about family parties? Is anyone in your family having any GTGs?

No, thank you for even thinking of inviting us...that's such a sweet gesture!

We're considering an all nighter and partying at Jericho Terrace...really considering it.

Is no one else doing anything?

Ditto!!!! We don't like going to the city or anywhere crazy for New Years! We prefer to stay at home with family and friends and drinks!

Usually we do nothing...this year we were invited to not one, but two parties! How do we choose?! We may hit the one further away and then ring in the new year at the one closer to home.

OHHHH! that sounds amazing!! if your hall is doing a NYE bash then definitely go if they still have availability.

I did something like that a few times at Woodburry CC (YEARS ago) and it was a BLAST!

We are going to my brothers house. He is having a square dance and he is hiring a caller. Mind you, he has a barn on his property so everything looks pretty darn authentic.
