Ok here's my delema.... I owe my catering hall $ in August, all my other vendors I've only given down payments to except for my photographer who I haven't given anything to yet. Everyone that I talk to is telling me to calm down because the wedding is so far away, but I'm worried that when the time comes that I won't have the money to pay for what I need to pay for. I've already excluded a few things that aren't really needed like makeup... I can do my own, and the Limo would have liked to have had one but I don't need one. I'm just worried that now I have this beautiful wedding planned and I won't be able to pay for it and really..... I've been waiting for almost 20 years to marry this man.

well i say you need to sit down with FH and really come up with a budget...calculate your total costs and see how much you two NEED to put aside every paycheck.
I have to make payments to my RH every 2 or 3 months it alternates, im glad bc it really keep me on my toes with saving since i always have to give money towards it...otherwise i probably would be like OH well do this later on or do that

It's a lot but you just have to set up a budget and plan on how much you are going to need. Most of the money wont be due until the date of the wedding so you have some time to save. You just need to be really strict in saving up.

I think its def aomething you have to plan for...so I would suggest sitting and talking with FH and coming up with a budget...AND sticking to it

your so right.. it's just a matter of trying to figure out what we have, what we really need, nad how much we have to work with. I just want this day to be what we always dreamed it would be. thank you all for your advice

sit down w/ fh and set a budget and stick to it, and set money aside from each pay, put it in envelopes marked rh, florist / etc. but stick to your budget and you dont have to over spend to have a beautiful wedding.

Definitely create your budget with FH and figure out how much you should be putting away each paycheck. Are there certain things you and FH do regularly that you can eliminate? Don't go out to eat, use coupons when food shopping, don't buy stuff you don't really need. Every little thing helps.
