Totally unrelated to anything but has anyone had bubble tea?
FI loves it (he travels through Asia for work and has it here) and we went for it for dessert at a new place near our apt--interesting it is tea with these tapioca bubbles. Weird but not unpleasant.

This is so funny! My DH works at Flushing Hospital and gets bubble tea ALL the time!! He just recently told me about it! I actually just got off the phone with him and he was just there and he keeps promising that he is going to bring one home for me!

We used to sell a product at the spa that had tapioca bubbles in it!!! Come to think of it, I think it was a Green Tea body oil by Stone Spa, it smelled yummy! So I guess the new thing is tea & tapioca!!!???

i love bubble tea, especially almond flavored. there are a few in the city - chinatown, near nyu and a few in the east village. just don't sip too fast or you could choke on the tapioca balls.

I had it once downtown somewhere- it was interesting... I had a cold version, the balls took a little getting used to, but I'm glad I tried it!

FH and I love Bubble Tea. There was a place on Main Street in Flushing that closed down. Now I can't find any good places to get it. My favorite is hot Almond Milk Tea with Tapioca Balls. :)
