I'm going to be changing my e-ring too. So sad because I've been engaged for almost a year.
I have a new ring &, we were just engaged a year, It's sad from time to time that's it not theFH gave me when he asked me to share our lifes, but I've realized that the ring is just a symbol of the love, respect, devoation, and honor we share for each other and hey that's all that really matters right, not the materialized item to represent it.

Originally we were Christmas shopping last year and FH asked what I wanted so I picked out a bunch or rings. He went and bought one that I tried but didn't give it to me until Valentine's Day. It's a princess cut and I'm always getting stuck on things. Also it has channel set stones on the sides, when the ring was resized it never was 'right'. The jeweler that I got it from hasn't been able to fix it even though they are supposed to do all repairs. So we are going to take it back and get a solitaire (round). Eventually I can change the setting for the band and ering.

The way I look at it megan is that THIS is the ring FH saved for and got down on one knee with...its got waaaaaaaaay too much sentimental value to just causally trade in...JMHO- girls do it all the time. I'm just kind of old fashioned...i wan tto pass my ring on to my grandkids...You can always get a past present and future ring for your 1st anni. that HUGE!!!![]()
i jut love the story behind mine. thats why i could never trade it in or change it!

Megan, not for nothing but I think your e-ring is absolutely beautiful! I def would not upgrade, mine is on the smaller side too but b/c it's so different it makes it look that much bigger. Yours is definitely different and unique and absolutely beautiful. Plus, I think your band is yellow gold right? That makes it even more beautiful and unique!!!
The only reason you may be feeling like you want a bigger one is b/c the people with the bigger ones flaunt their engagement rings and the size and not their actual engagement!
Bottom line: I think your ring is truly beautiful! (and if I didn't think so, I wouldn't have posted at all)![]()
u guys are too cute and thanks u and ill be sure to tell FH he made it all by himself... i cant wait to get my new camera so i can really show it off... the band goes up the side of the Center stone i wish i could show u.. but i only have to wait a few days!!..lol
aw I'm sorry! Im actually bringing my ring in next week to get fixed (the center stone is loose) Im going to be sooo depressed without it!

am i bad that i wish my rock was bigger??? i undestand why its not.. fh never worked a day in his life untill this summer so he worked 60 hours a week and bought my ring at the end of the summer.. i do love it.. but who wouldnt want a HUGE rock...
i just want it to be fixed so that i cant wear it!
thats how i feel also..and my fh busted his rear for months to save for it, and had the ring made specially for me..he designed it based on a picture i gave him from blue nile..I could never trade it in..cause all of the thought he put behind it!

My orignalwas just about 2cts... my ring now is centerstone: 1.47 & the setting is only.56, and my wedding band is.81 which brings the set to a tcw of 2.79... altho it's not a flashy
like it might be if that was the weight of the cs, & not the tcw, but I love it and it's simple, classic and elegant...
