hey... ok i am trying to look for a beach close to my church and reception to take my wedding pics
venetian shores came on the list of seaching
i cant find any pics of it at all
i was going to call the town b/c it says residents only...there a girl in my BP that is a resident...i hope they will let me take pictures for an hour
i am just looking for beach and open water.... is this a good idea? has anyone been there? is it crummy??????? anyone have pics from that beach they can post
id appreciate it soooo much! i would rather go to jones but we dont have enough time

Hi, I live in Lindenhurst & Venetian shores is nice, but pretty small. They just put up a restaurant/water area there for the kids. There is sand, but not very much. I'll see if I can take some pics for you this weekend. The gates are open and they don't check for your town permits--don't know if they'd bother you if you were in limos/bp.
By the way you can see CLM from there.
BTW, what church are you getting married at?

Not familiar with the venetian shores, but as an alternative Copiage is close by and Tanner park has a beach that you could take pics. Its about 5 minutes away from CLM.

that is ok that it isnt big but is it open water? florence beach by me has like 5mph boat signs and stuff...i was trying to find an alternative...i would def call the town and dbleck...or just show up who says no to a bride?!??!

how is the water view? the previous post explains what i was working with b4...do u have any pictures?
does it have like sand and stuff...i have been there for baseball games i dont remember a beach

Its been a while since I've been there, but I clearly remember tanner park having a small beach with sand and everything. There's also a small park down clock's blvd in Amityville right off merrick road. But that's more like a 'park/waterview' - no sand. Same goes for East shore drive in nassau shores. They have a nice park/play area with a nice waterview, but not too much sand. Sorry dont have any pics, but I just wanted to give you some alternatives.

Do you have enough time to go to any of the TOB beaches? Gilgo is very short, not a lot of walking to the water.....

yea i live right by east shore drive i ride my bike there alot...i like it there but the FH wants sand...pain in the butt....

i wish i did but i am not going to have enough time. church is at 330 which is full mass so we will be out 430ish after recieving line outside the church...by the time we get thre we will have to leave so not many pictures....i have to be back at CLM by 630 or limos go into overtime.....
i wish i could do those beaches

Were actually going upstate in a few hours, I'll have to post on Monday. It's a small area w/ a playground & the same stretch as where CLM is (more open though)

dont worry about it...we went b4 it is soooo perfect! Thanks for your help!!!!!
now i have to contact the town just to make sure it is cool we go there..by the time we get there it wil be 445 so i am sure it is ok...there was no one there before i think the permit checkers go home at 5 anyway

I didnt really care for it. I decided to just park on the dock next to CLM and take pics at the end and they came out BEAUTIFUL!!!

i would do that but the FH wants sand...and the shoes off pics...so it worked out well

yea that was what we were originally doing but...the pics will have a lot of buoys and cones fom the water plus that huge sign that says boats 5mph coming outta the water...it is hard to avoid in the shot...we looked the other day at it....then we saw ventian and it is sooo perfect...open water and beach

Since its right next to CLM if you have 10 minutes or so you should take a few mre pics by the docs, only because its something else, something different. We had the guys stand on those pillar things at the docks. That was cute! Then they to pics f the whole bridal party walking to CLM
