i was told by A LOT of people to keep records of all the gifts people give u. i think its weird but the fact that every person i speak to tells me to do so, i guess its common?
is there a book u buy? or do u just use a steno pad?

I keep track of all the gifts we get on excel. We have a whole spreadsheet for it. We'll write in down on paper and copy it oonto the computer. sounds like a pain in the @ss but we know we have it stored somewhere

Just do it in excel... it's much easier. I gave up using my wedding planning binder and have everything in excel now...
Everyone in my family tells me to do this as well... as horrible as the reasoning is, I guess it makes sense... if cousin Sally gives you 10 place settings at your shower you don't want to show up to hers someday with just 2... or vice versa.

yeah we did that for our eparty and will have one of the bms in charge of doing that at bridal shower. It's nice to send out thank yous with specifics about the gift they bought for you....you know makes it more personal and what not

P.S. to help with this when your BMs are helping you open gifts and whatnot at yoru shower make sure they slide the card in the box it came with... that way in case whoever is taking notes for you misses something you have a backup.

For the e-party, I just wrote everyone's gift on the spreadsheet that I created for the guest list right next to their names. It was handy because I like to personalize everything so I was able to mention their gift in thank you card. I will do the same for the bridal shower and wedding.

I'm sure you can find one in barnes and noble. They have tons of wedding books.

so for my shower, i guess my moh or bm is going to be writting on a reg pad.. and then ill transfer everything over to a fancy book. i still feel tacky. i guess not as tacky as stalkng ur registry while ur driving . la la la.. du du dudddddddd

yes you have to keep track of all of your gifts!!!!! They have nice books at Borders or Barnes and Noble...thats where my other sister got hers from....i wrote it like skata at the shower on a yellow huge notepad and she transfered it to the book!

I just did the note pad thing but it's totally smarter to do the excel spread sheet. That way you can back track to find it if need be... lol

I didn´t have an eparty and my bridal shower is on Nov 7th. I´m using Weddingwire.com for guest lists, seating charts, etc and you can input gift info there too. That will make the thank you cards so much easier. I like to be as personal as possible.

I say just get a pretty pad or journal looking book that you like. Then you can write everything down in that. I am anal and I bought my fav type of book (a black and white marble notebook) and I use that for all wedding ideas and it will be used for keeping track of gifts later on.

my eparty gifts i kept track of on the back of everyones cards....they are in a box somewhere w/all the gifts...
the shower i definitely want my MOH to have a nice book towrite that down in...i dont want to be lookin cheesy w/a random sheet of paper...
