Ugh! I love what she's doing to the room but does she have to keep saying how much things are costing and how expensive everything is...we know they're spending $50,000!!!!

Donna, I said the same thing to my husband - they should have let them put the $ to more rooms. I actually think if they were still doing just the one room, maybe they should have given them a week - maybe they could have put in sky lights or nice windows or something. To spend so much money just for a fancy chair when the rest of the house is nothing like it seems a little bit of a waste. I liked both though I also thought Lori's room looked cluttered and The color of Doug's walls wasn't sonthing I'd pick out. I loved what the carpenters did. They are great!!

Do you know many of those TVs Sony will now sell because of that donation? It was well worth their money for the 'ad'.
I loved what Doug did. He also, IMO, spent his money very wisely bringing in contractors and getting appliances. I didn't like his drapes, but the rest was great. I LOVE ventian plaster walls too...
Lori is, in her own mind, a Southern Bell. She annoys me. I liked her drapes, didn't like her furniture and felt that she wasted a lot of money.
I have $75 lampshade on 2 lamps that I LOVE so I couldn't comment on what she paid. Lampshades can be very expensive and I thought that was nice. I didn't think $1800 on some ugly a$$ mirror was necessary or that $3K chair YUCK and DUMB. It was way tooo busy IMO.
But all and all I would LOVE Vern to come to my house with a $50K budget and re-do my LR
