I was just wondering how many of you ladies are doing the 'something old, something new, something borrowed'?
I really want to do it, but I am having trouble with my something old
i asked my mom, she doesnt have anything, and I dont have any grandmas to ask

For my friend's wedding, i went to an antique store and bought her a silver compact mirror from the 1920s... around the time her family came to the US from Italy.

my mom saved her garter and i'm using my grandmothers purse...i love the idea of going to an antique shop...even if it's for a charm...does your mom have a pin or something of sentimental value?
my friend tucked a penny into her bra from the year her and fh met.

Im doing it - for something old you can try a fleamarket or an antique store for a really cool vintage piece as something old.
Anyone else you are close with - I think Deb mentioned earlier it doesnt have to be from an older person, but maybe something that uve had from whenu were younger!

my something old will be my shoes...i wore them to my engagement party, and i love them so much and they're so comfortable, i can't wait to wear them again!
you could also wear an 'old' pair of underwear if you're really strapped for something.

I did the traditional wedding saying:
Something old- my engagement ring (was over 1yr old so it worked for me)
Something new- Wedding Gown and Accessories
Something borrowed- I borrowed a tissue from my MIL- hey it was something!
Something blue- was a personalized gown tag that was sewn into my wedding gown
