Traditions..

How many of you would skip out on the 'you're not supposed to see the bride before the wedding' tradition?

FH & I went to see Coral House today and woman suggested that we take pictures before our ceremony so that we dont use up that time after the ceremony...but i dont think so. I want my FH to have that shocked look on his face when he sees me coming down the aisle..am i the only one?

im not going to do this , only because i really want FH to see me for the first time when im coming down the aisle. but thats just me....i dont see anything wrong with taking pics beforehand if you dont mind FH seeig you beforehand

that has also been suggested to FH and I and even FH says he prefers not to see me before the ceremony. I really want to capture his reaction first time he sees me in my gown walking down the aisle. even FH thinks that nothing could compare to the surprise of seeing your bride walking towards you right before you exchange vows!

Fh and I are taking pictures before the ceremony, we dont want to be rushed during the CH, plus we want to be there. We are getting married at thr RH. My mom is somewhat mad at me because of this and knowing how supersticious I am but, I dont believe in that superstition because of how marriages worked out. I think it is what YOU prefer, not what anyone else wants.

BTW, how was Coral House??

it was pretty nice..i liked it much more than Brentwood...and the price was really good, only $58pp...and it includes the floral centerpieces annnd she threw in chair covers (cause a friend of mine recommended the place) we even did a food tasting, and according to the FH, it was good...and the menu includes a lot of food!!honestly, dont really have any other places to check out, cause of our budget..sooo this might be it!

WOW! that's a great deal. and i love that they're already throwing things like chair covers in! i'm looking forward to hearing when you book!

thats a great price!! i went there for a friends prom in HS, and its a really beautiful place

We're not going to... I dont think we could even if we wanted to. Our ceremony is at 11 and the hairdresser said she should come around 5 so we'll have enough time! No time for picture taking with fh before hand. We're hoping to squeeze it in before cocktail hour.

I wanted to do the whole picture thing before the wedding but my parents are so old school. LOL. Oh well. I guess it is nice to stick to tradition. I don't care what anyone says though- I want to enjoy my wedding and I am not being bombarded with formal photos.

i wanted to.. but i'm not allowed.. FH wanted the whole wow affect at the church aisle... i wanted to because i wanted to take pics before and be more relaxed... but i can't...
