I hope everyone's planning is going great and that you are all enjoying summer.
I am trying to think of some traditions to keep after our wedding...Are any of you planning to keep any wedding related traditions alive ? i.e. using your cake cutter on aniversary, second honeymoons, memories boxes, etc.?
We discussed scheduling a vacation or short trip every year around our anniversary and also taking turns planning and surprising the other with the destination. My husband is planning our next trip and the deal is we agree on only the date and he tells me how to pack but I don't find out where we are going until we get to the airport and print our boarding pass. And we'll switch every year after (so long as life permits lol).
But I also want to do something simple for years that we can't go away.

We do plan on using our cake cutter for our anniversary, birthday's and any time we have guests & cake. For our 1st we plan on having dinner at our hall since they have a restaurant.
As for vacations, not sure if we will do it during our anniversary. We do go away every year but I prefer to go away when the weather is cold in NY.

I think my cake cutter and server are so pretty and will use it whenever there is company over for dessert. I don't know if we'll take an anniversary trip. We want to save for a house and that's more important to me than going away.

For our 1 year anniversary we want to take a trip. I want to do one of my dream vacations before we start trying for a baby and that will be to Hawaii. I am thinking of maybe a Hawaiian cruise. I feel that may be easiest to see the different islands. But we will see...

We plan to go to WM Polo Lounge on our first anniversary. Since I am all about dessert, I plan to have a version of our wedding cake every year on our anniversary. We will have to think of something great. We plan to also keep our dating anniversary tradition. FH asked me to be his GF in the city after we saw the tree. Every year we go see the tree, macy's Fao Schwartz and dinner. Both anniversary's are less than a month apart maybe we will just combine them

The anniversary of our first date and engagement are a day apart, so that will probably always be at least a dinner out for us! Our wedding is 10 days away and we don't have the time or energy to think about anything that happens afterwards, lol!
