trainer...

calling all nyc brides.... has anyone ever hired a personal trainer that they really liked? my apt building has a gym in it, and though i've sworn off gyms my whole life because i'm very anti-sweating, i broke down and signed up for my building gym. my saving grace is knowing that this is very short term---once the wedding is over, i have no intention of going back! with that said, since i've never worked out, pretty much the only thing i know how to do is the treadmill. everything else may as well be covered in 'caution tape' because when i attempt to figure out how to use the machines, i know i'm straining things that aren't supposed to be strained/ sprained!!!! i'm hoping i can hire someone for one or two sessions to sort of customize a plan and show me how things work! thanks

Well, remember my nickname in college? 'The Muscle Builder'? (Girls who don't know me, it rhymes with my last name - makes more sense that way!). I'll work out with you! But if you wanted an actual fitness professional, I'm sorry, I don't know any. I just buy Fitness magazine. I might have a stack of old ones I can give to you - they have tons of spot-specific exercises, as well as cardio routines and recipes and stuff. I really like it. Also, I do videotapes at least once a week - Pilates or free weights. Oh hey, and if you ever want to go jogging (more like speedwalking, actually) or biking or something, give me a call!
