transportation and hotels in vicinity of Fox Hollow

hi ladies, any recommendations for hotels near Fox Hollow? I'd like to give my guests more than one option beside FH Inn. Or maybe since my wedding will end at 6pm, maybe a hotel with a bar for a after party?

Should I arrange a Van Service to take people back to the LIRR station?? which is the closet train station??

anyone has any experience as to how to arrange transportation for guests?? I don't want people to drink and drive...

We are using a coach bus from classic trans. That may be a little large for your party but they have vans as well. www.classictrans.com

We blocked rooms at the Fairfield, Fox Hollow and Best Western. All of them are in the area and that gives my guests a nice range of prices.

We booked rooms at the Fox Hollow Inn and Executive Inn up the road.

Neither has bars though. We are getting married at the Fox Hollow at night and our reception ends at 12:30 so they are keeping the bar in the Fox Hollow open for us that night for a couple of hours. You could inquire with the Fox Hollow about that.

Also, I know the Holiday Inn off the LIE (not sure where it is) has a pretty big bar in it if you wanted to get a bus (we got one at Coachman) to transport your guests to a hotel after the reception.

I'm at the Milleridge, which isn't far from Fox Hollow.

I think that's the Holida Inn in Plainview you are reffering to. Some of my guests that don't like the fact that the hotels I blocked (Fairfield & Howard Johnson's) don't have bars are going to stay there.
I didn't block rooms there b/c the person I spoke to was difficult, & it was a little farther for me, but not by much. In retrospect I proabably should have blocked rooms there instead of the HoJo's.

I didn't do transportation, but I blocked rooms at the Best Western and the Executive Inn. They are owned by the same people

Try the Inn at Plainview.....brand new hotel and beautiful rooms. They also have Palmers next door. They allow the guest staying at the hotel to sign off to thier room....how convenient is that!!!!

Take a look.....

One more thing...if you block your room there, they give the B&G a gift on their wedding night......now that's NICE!!!!!
