transportation from lga to stony brook? (vent)
I got a call last night from a college friend saying that she will come to my eng. party next weekend but her boyfriend won't be able to come. The RSVP date was April 10, she didnt' call. I emailed/called a few times afterwards and finally she calls back last week to say that she's coming. THen last night I have a message saying she's flying in from DC to LaGuardia - she'll be there at 10pm. It is an hour and a half away from where I am in Suffolk. I'll have lots of guests- we have plans to go to dinner and then a bar/lounge Friday night (party is sat night). I feel bad saying I can't get her. My parents and others cannot either- they'll have guests themselves plus my mom doesn't drive at night and my dad gets tired driving that late. I don't want to impose on a friend here bc it is kind of selfish of me. I'm sure they want to hang out instead of drive to the airport. So what can I do? I dont think she'll want to spend the $$ on renting a car. ugh. And I suppose that I have to drive her back to the airport on Sunday?? I'm annoyed- this is how it was like in college. I haven't talked to her/seen her in a while so of course it has to be all complicated to see her!
