Transportation Vent/Questions?
I'm feeling as if transportation is the part of the budget the is the most worrisome and yet ironically most unimportant to me. I don't know if anyone has ever been here before, but I'm not really a bride who is looking to come to the site in grand style with a photographer documenting the whole thing. I'm only having a photographer come in for wedding photos for a couple hours. But at the same time, I want to be in a decent car that is clean and won't dirty my dress. So it's a confusing situation and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice.
I need to get to the ceremony from my hotel, and my bridesmaids will be with me from the hair and makeup thing in the morning, so I'm guessing it is only appropriate to have them come with me. Has anyone ever done a limo ride to the site but only to the site? I don't even know if that's possible; we just need some sort of large clean space to get us there. I could ask them to drive themselves and take a smaller car, but is that proper form?
And then I was thinking, instead of hiring someone for hours on end when they aren't doing anything but the to and from, I could hire a nice, smaller car for the getaway with my FH at the end of the night.
Does anyone know if any of this is remotely possible? I've read books saying it definitely is, but it just seems like wedding haven Long Island does not want to provide cost efficient services or options. It's really stressful.
Anyway, I don't know what to do. In the mean time, I'll just keep looking...
