Is anyone using or planning to use a shuttle from the hotel for your guests to and from the reception? Did you enclose something about transportation in your invitations so guests would know it was an option?

I included a card on hotel information with the invites. On the card it stated rooms were blocked at the the hotel and that a shuttle would be provided for guests to be escorted to the church and the reception and back to the hotel at the end of the night. It informed them that if they wanted to utilize the shuttle they should stay at the hotel we blocked or two nearby hotels.

Kind of spread the word to my guests staying at the hotels, which was many of our friends.

i didnt do this but we went to an OOT wedding and they left a schedule for everyone in the OOT bags including the times when we could catch the shuttle to and from the church and reception

Can I ask what the approximate cost for these shuttles are? I am thinking of doing the same thing, but was curious of the cost.

Hi I'm an '08 bride jumping on the '07 board for a few things. Where did you book this shuttle for $800? I keep getting quotes of like $1500!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

Sometimes the hotel will do it for you for free depending on how many rooms you have booked and/or how far it is for you...
hotel vans will also shuttle for you for a fee....usualyl a LOT chepaer than those party buses.

Our hotel provides it once 15 rooms out of our block were booked. We are putting the info into the welcome bags.

We don't really have many ppl. in hotels but we are provided coach buses to take guest from the church to the hall and back again that night so no drinking & driving. On the back of the reception card I indicated about the bus and but a space to be checked on the RSVP card if they are going to take the bus or not.

I put a little insert in the invitations saying that if the guests would like transportation, they should contact me. That way, I will know what size shuttle/car to get. I am booking it through a local limo company, since they gave me a very good deal. The hotel and wedding are only a mile apart from each other for me. I would definitely call around. I got all sorts of quotes!

I put it in the welcome letter as well as on our wedding website. I had a TON of OOT guests so we got 2 44 passenger school buses through our limo company - Clique Limos. They were outstanding and really inexpensive compared to other places that I contacted.

Kim- we decided not to do the shuttle, but when in question we talked about placing shuttle info. in the guest bags and make a 'shout out' at the rehearsal dinner since most of our oot guests were in the bridal party....hope this helps.
