Is anyone doing/thinking about doing a trash the dress session?

Re: Trash The Dress Session
Someone posted some really great photos of one--I think it was her sister's--but then a comment came through that I thought was pretty smart: What do you do with all of those photos? Not sure it's worth ruining the dress, and paying for a photo shoot--just my opinion.

Re: Trash The Dress Session
I'm totally crashing but I'm thinking of doing it.
I'll only wear the dress once...then what?? It sits in a closet in my mom's house for the rest of my life?? In the end it's just a dress and I've seen alot of trash-the-dress shoots and I think they are amazing and different.
.....And if you don't want to trash your actual dress.....you could always get one from Davids for $99 bux

That was my sister!! She has a BLAST doing the photos!!
The dress that she used was one she had bought years ago when she and her husband had originally planned to get married. It didn't happen and they waited another 7 years to get married!! By then she wanted a new dress! So she used her original dress for the photos and used the new dress for the wedding.
You could always check out the David's Bridal $99 sale for something halfway decent to take photos in! Oh and my sister's dress was totally not ruined! If it was silk or some expensive satin then yes it would have been ruined - but she didn't lay around in mud or anything. She took it to the dry cleaner and it came out perfect! Now she's gonna try to sell it on ebay!

Thanks so much, I just saw them. Gorgeous! I was asking because I'm not sure if this is a good thing to add to my services, but seems popular and it really does make sense...the dress is warn once, why not creat art with it once it's not needed any longer?

Re: Trash The Dress Session
My photographer just sent me pics of a wedding he did on 7/7/07....the bride, groom and part of the BP all jumped in the pool at the end of their wedding! It was like a spur of the moment 'trash the dress' session! LOL
