Re: Trashing The Dress
It's really cool and artsy to take pictures of you running around in the ocean or the mud or something in your wedding dress, but I would never do it. Even though my dress wasn't too expensive, I want to keep mine and try to wear it again in ten years :P

I plan on doing a TTD shoot. I will be purchasing a cheaper gown, maybe during the David's Bridal $100 sale.

What is a TTD shoot?
A TTD stands for 'trash the dress' it is a pictorial where a bride gets another opportunity to wear her dress and take artistic pictures. Some brides choose to do their photo shoot at the beach - rolling around in the sand, going into the ocean. Other brides may go to a amusement park or a walk thruba field. Basically it's a photo shoot wearing your dress where you would never dream of wearing it. A way to immortalized it. Hope that helps.

Here's where it's going to if anyone else is interested in donating their dress.

If I do it then I would go about it this way as well!! Unless its a simple TTD where my dress won't get dirty like the one the 2011 brides did.

Re: Trashing The Dress
I have seen TTD shoots that you dont ruin your dress. Just dont roll around in the mud or water. It just a more relaxed setting and look.
I would never ruin my dress in the ocean either! LOL I paid way too much money for it! I think its just another excuse for a photographer to make money (LOL) but its a fun idea

Re: Trashing The Dress
Sorry for crashing ladies - but we just got our pics from our TTD shoot...My dress was not ruined at all, it got dirty and wet, but nothing that a dry cleaner can't remove. Here's a few random photos thought I'd share - it was definitely fun to wear the dress again and take some amazing pics and close the chapter on the wedding.
