Do you recommend getting travelers insurance for your honeymoon? We are in the process of booking and we are back n forth on if we need it or not. We are going to a sandals resort.

I'm doing a sandals resort and I got insurance. I'm in October so I do have the risk of bad weather.

We got it just for the peace of mind since you never know what can happen abroad i.e. missed flights, sickness/injury etc. Every insurance policy is different, so make sure you know the terms and conditions. I once knew someone who booked a $15,000 honeymoon, but bc her new job would not allow her the entire time off (between wedding/ honeymoon, she was planning on about 14+ days) she had to cancel. Instead of being out the full $15,000 they were out only a few hundred dollars, only bc they waited so long to cancel.

Also, its good to look at polices where they provide med-evac, especially if you're workplace doesn't cover medical expenses abroad, or you're in an area where you feel they have subpar hospitals.

I agree with getting it. We got it for I think an extra $500. We are getting married in January and god forbid we have a winter like last year we didn't want to take any chances and they refund us the entire amount except the cost of the insurance

We also got travelers insurance. We are traveling during the winter and you never know what the weather will be like. It doesn't cost that much and for such an important trip I think it's totally worth it!

We decided to get it. It was only an extra $124 p/p which in the scheme of things is nothing LOL I guess just better to be safe then sorry. I really don't think we would need it but you never know.
