traveling make up artists

traveling make up artists

I live in NYC and was trying to locate a make up artist here who would travel to my location the day of the wedding on Long Island.

I am super stressed out about this because my first trial went ok, but I really was not thrilled, and to me, my makeup is one of those things that can easily stress me out. I am picky, but I think it is because I wear makeup everyday, and I know what I am used to seeing that I was not super happy. My fiance was not happy with it either, but I dont base too much on his opinion because....well, he is a guy.

I am not concerned with price, although trials that cost $300, are a little insane for me. I almost dont care how much the day of the wedding costs.

I also want a TRUE make up artist who is a professional, someone who does wedding work on the side of their regular job.

I am using Anne Demarco. A few other brides are using her as well. I was really happy with her and she can do any type of look you want. If you want her info FM me.

Anne DeMarco works at the Madison Salon in Woodbury. They do not travel to your place, but my SIL works with Anne and is also a makeup artist there at the Madison Salon. She is going out on her own. FM me if youre interested.

I used the Madison Salon for my wedding.

Anne DeMarco also works out of a salon in Greenvale. She is traveling to me on the day of the wedding to do my makeup.

Re: traveling make up artists

the makeup artist (/hair stylist) i went with is Sachiko Yanese. i found her through a friend who noticed her hair and makeup work on models who were featured in a few top magazines. She's uber nice and she does great work. I used her twice, i was in a bridal party where she was also the stylist to and with all 3 she was always on time.

Her trial's free and may take up to an hour depending on how many different styles of hair and makeup you go through. bring magazine clippings (or photos) of hair styles and makeup so sachiko can understand your style and don't forget to bring a camera.

you won't be disappointed with her. her makeup's very natural looking, that's unless you tell her otherwise, of course. one thing that's very important to me is the foundation. it actually matched my skin perfectly.

I am now a big fan of Jennifer Anne in Woodbury. She is really really really nice and she has made this an absolute pleasure. 516-367-1409. Her prices are very reasonable.
