Tree Centerpieces

So I have been having a difficult time coming up with my centerpieces. I really wanted flowering branches (i.e, cherry blossoms), but they are not available in September. Then I wanted orchids to be attached to plain branches to give that illusion. But at $500 a centerpiece, I felt I could do without them. My new idea is to have actual trees (or 6-ft branches which look like a tree) placed on the tables. The trees would have votives hanging from them. Then there would be 60 roses at the bottom of the tree.

Has anyone does this or have pictures of something similar? The florist is making me a sample, but I would like to give him more direction. This is the closest picture I could find:

Re: Tree Centerpieces

Very chic... I like it a lot. Very elegant, but not to 'froofy' I think it is a great touch to the table.

Re: Tree Centerpieces

That's a great idea but just make sure the 'tree' is high enough so that your guests can have conversations without having to move the branches.
