Trick or treating (With Poll)

HOW OLD IS TOO OLD TO BE TRICK OR TREATING??

I went last year with DH another couple !! LOL. DH talked me into it!!!!! Just to see if anyone noticed or said anything. Everyone was very nice to us and thought it was cute. It was our experiment. We dont plan on going anymore until we have kids. LOL. But then I thought to myself why cant adults have fun too and i wondered how many people actually still go ??

I say 18 even before. I wasn't ever much into halloween or trick or treating though so I guess I'm a spoil sport.

I havent gone T or T in yearsss. I probably wont start going again until my neice is old enough (she's only 1 now). So for now i get my candy fix at the store

I dont see why adults shouldnt go.. You are dressed up, celebrating the holiday.

id say 15-16 - i dont think anyone older than that should be trick or treating although my sis is 17 and i think she is going today after school - she is a high school senior!

i dont know, i think its more for kids and their parents like kids 3-12, i remember being like 13 and feeling embarrased to trick or treat - but all my friends were older so maybe that is why

i do look young though and i love candy so maybe i should go next year since its on a saturday i may have to borrow my nephew! hahahaha

OK I didn't vote b/c I think more like 16 is the right answer! Once you're that age and in the later years of HS I think you should just do Halloween parties and things and not trick or treat any more

I voted 18 b/c it was the youngest choice, but agree with you.

It's supposed to be more for kids IMO. If I want candy I just buy it, don't know how I'd feel about handing out candy to people my own age ringing my doorbell.. I guess I'm a party pooper

i'm the same way. i think i stopped dressing up when i was like 11 or 12. i used to take my kid brother and his friends after that, but i never dressed up. i think i've dressed up once or twice since then for parties. i was also a goth chick through HS and college, so almost everyday was dress up for me then

thing is, i can't wait for next halloween when we're in our house and i can decorate and have trick or treaters come to our house. that's def more my style than actually going trick or treating. i dont' care how old the T&Ters are, it's all in good fun! it's just not something i have fun doing.

haha... i agree with the posters who said 15 or 16. I think the trick or treating should stop by the time you're of age to drive. I had friends my Senior Year who left school to go trick or treating and then came back with loads of candy to share with the class. Even tho i enjoyed the candy, i still thought they were huge losers to be still doing that at 17 or 18 years old. lol.

FH keeps joking around with me, saying that me & him are gonna go next year. I had to remind him that we're ADULTS now and we can go buy our own candy!

I just know that for ME, I'd be frightened if i opened the door expecting to see cute little children, but found adults on my front porch instead. I would be convinced they were trying to rob me. They would sooo be pepper sprayed!

HA HA!!! We have neighbors that do it. for the past 10 years...I think they are 40 and 42. Every year they dress up different. They only go to the people they know. They are so funny! I cant wait to see what they are this year!! I wonder what their kids think!!

i think i stopped trick or treating around 10 years old. Once i got to JHS I thought oh i am so grown now and trick or treating is just for little kids lol. Then teenage years was egging and doing stupid things lol

when I have kids I'll do it again

I know in my teens, i was bad and we would have our stock of shaving cream, eggs and toilet paper. I feel bad for the pumpkings i smashed.. My friends were instigators..

I choose 18- but my 30 year old dh and his 33 year old bm are going after work- they're such idiots

ahhhh the good old days i remember one time i had to wash my hair after going out egging and it wouldn't come out, i applied shampoo and conditioner 7 times while in the shower and even when I got out it still felt a bit sticky.

I agree

I love candy...but to me it seems more of like a 'kid' thing...if i want candy i can go buy a bag. its not the same as getting a surprise variety...but the concept and the time it takes to go do it has lost its appeal (until we have kids).
