do they live with their SO's? if yes, then i would intro them together if not, i'd do mom and dad separately or perhaps with someone else special to you
FILs are divorced also, very messy as well. They are both remarried so they will be announed separately and walking in with their spouses.
But, if neither of them were remarried I would absolutely announce them separately. And I would ask them personally if they want to be announced with their bf/gf or alone. I think that's up to them.
Are you more comfortable announcing them with or without their bf/gf? If it doesnt matter to you either way, I would ask your parents individually what they prefer.
My friend's wedding, her husbands mom was escorted by the best man (her other son) and the father was introduced with his wife. The mom was not married, but her boyfriend attended- hope that wasnt too confusing

Ok i get that part, but if my mom goes in separate with her bf...who would escort her, my mom does not have one family member alive.
Do we have the same parents?!?! LOL I was stuck on this as well.. But too bad, they are walking in together... But I guess they will have to be introduced as 'the bride's parents, Jim and Francine'...? My mother will be remarried by then and my father is in a relationship that is serious... Very confusing!
With ours DH's parents are divorced and well DH's father didn't end up showing up, however even before that when he was MIL wouldn't walk in with him, so I had my dad escort my mom and his mom into the reception and the MC said .. the parents of the bride and groom .. soo maybe you can do something like this?? like do your mom, his dad, his mom, your dad? this way they all come out together but your mom doesn't walk next to your dad?? this make sense? I hope lol
My parents are divorced (although it was amicable), and I am having them announced as the parents of the bride....are they that estranged that they wouldn't want to walk in together? It's only a couple of seconds...maybe you should speak to both of them to feel them out a little bit as to how they would want to be introduced..

Do the bridal party people walk in together?
No, they don't have to walk in together. You can have a GM walk in your mom and BM walk in your dad. This way it's still even.

If she goes in with her bf, then her bf is escorting her. Ask her what she wants to do though, if she wants to go in with her bf, he will escort her. If she wants to go in alone the she can be announced alone. I bet she gets a big applause!
Bridal party walks in however you want them to. Most of the time they walk in however you had them paired or grouped for the ceremony. But there's no rule.

I agree...i would ask if your mom is walking in alone or with her bf. if she walks in alone i would just announce her as being your mom etc. and if she walks in with her bf then i would say your mom and possibly mention that she is escorted by ___ insert bf's name. and do the same with your dad
my parents are divorced also...and not on speaking terms etc and it wasn't a good situation so ill be announcing them individually w/their spouses (they are both remarried).
there's nooooo way i would even think to bring up having them walk in together...that would just be bad and it would also make their spouse feel weird and unimportant (in your case it might make the sig other feel awkward).
I'm marrying a divorced dad this June and from being on both ends of the spectrum....i'd have to say definitely introduce them seperate and honor their wishes regarding whom they would like to be introduced with. If it is a serious bf/gf then i'm sure they would opt to be introduced with their significant other.
Every child wishes their parents were still together but as adults we realize that it isn't a perfect world. I don't know your situation but I personally am very close to my stepchildren and have seen ALOT of the ugliness between their parents. Even if I wasn't in the picture, I know it would be extremely awkward for my fiance to attend any function where their mother is also attending, let alone have to be in direct contact with her. Not only would it be fake but it would definitely have potential for negativity and that's not necessary at a happy occasion like a wedding.
I say Focus on the positive and just ask your parents how they'd like to be introduced. Keep it a happy occassion....but that's just my opinion.
