Trivial, yet depressing

Trivial, yet depressing

My ring is antique - from 1925 - and I took it in to the appraiser because the diamond seemed loose. It was, and apparently there is a crack in the setting so he has to send it out to get it fixed. I won't have it back for 2 weeks!

I feel so 'un-engaged!'

aww that *****... sometimes if i take my ring off to do dishes or something i feel naked.... so i can't imagine not having it for 2 weeks... don't worry you'll have it back before you know it...!!!

I understand....I'd feel naked if I went out without my ring. But, it's better that your getting it fixed and that the loose stone didn't fall out. That would be much worse. Right?

Thanks! There are pics in my album - but they are kind of terrible. I'm going to try and post a few others that are better.

Totally - the guy I went to said to me - well it could last for another 10 years this way - or you could hit your hand tomorrow and it could crack all the way.

So I said - fix it!

Not passed down - bought from an antique store in Manhattan...

My mom has an antique ring and I always loved it - so I told FH that was what I wanted too...

Yours is exquisite, too! I love how intricate and detailed your band is. What will you wear for a wedding band?
