trouble with chicken pot pie

trouble with chicken pot pie

absolutely dumbstruck by what to have for lunch, I end up with a 'homemade' chicken pot pie.

dumb for too reasons

1) it's choc'o boc full of broccoli, which I cannot digest, and therefore cannot eat

2) the chicken is hard to 'investigate' for fat attachments, and I just bit into a fatty piece.

I am disgusted, but too hungry to stop eating it.

I am a true freak...I mean, it's chicken pot pie!

Sorry about your lunch, Jess!!

I don't do chicken pot pies. Don't know why, but I just never liked the idea of them. Dinner (or lunch in your case) should not be in the form of a pie, pie is for dessert. I thought it was just me but DH feels the same way. We're meant to be!!

ETS: Now I'll each cake, etc. in leiu of dinner but that's a whole different story!! I just don't like my dinner or lunch posing as dessert!!

Are you telling us that you are ideologically opposed to chicken pot pies?

Is quiche also a travesty in your book?
I am a fan of quiche, so there is an off chance I may be desperately offended by your case.

No, I like quiche. For some reason that's OK. I didn't say my reasoning made sense!! My MOH coined the term 'Cindy logic' so if there's ever a chance that I've offended you, you can just shrug it off to Cindy logic and shake your head in my general direction.
