I saw Royal Brass at a showcase and was seriously BLOWN away! I think they would be beautiful for the ceremony but too much for cocktail hour - what do you think? TIA
I might just stick with strings for both.

Lol, I love the BLOWN away pun! Not sure if it was intentional. Yea, it might be too much for a CH but they can certainly do your ceremony. I've heard them and agree they're great. For the CH I'd stick to strings, harpist, floutist, or a pianist.

I wanted trumpets for ceremony strings for CH but its too much to have that and then a DJ, paying 3 different companies. I guess Ill just have to do string. Im sure theyll be beautiful. Im thinking 2 strings and a flute.

Yea, that's the same reason I'm getting a DJ for all 3. Kinda stinks but the $$$ tight. I think the strings and flute would sound great, exaclty what I'd get if I could afford it.

JMO: Too much. Save your money or spend it on things that will last beyond the day.

Re: Trumpets too much for cocktail hour?
I had the Royal Brass for my wedding. They were wonderful but they played at the ceremony. They played outside of the church steps when I arrived , throughout the mass, and then outside again after the mass was over. It cost me $250.00. I thought that was a great price and worth every penny.

to much for the cocktail hour, but I have seen them used in the dining room when the bridal party and bride and groom come in.

Re: Trumpets too much for cocktail hour?
I have them for my wedding. They will begin before the ceremony and I have them through the beginning of the reception... They will be doing an announcement fanfare letting the guest know the CH is over and the reception is beginning... They also will be playing for the introduction of my FH and I...
