Trunk Show vs. Sample Sale

Trunk Show is a kind of fashion show with a particular designer, they come in with all their new gowns and most likely, you can get a discount if you purchase during this time (usually 10%).

A sample sale is when you purchase the actual sample you try on, most of the time, sales like this are 'cash and carry' and you are responsible for dry cleaning, fixing anything broken, etc. You are purchasing 'as is', where as during a trunk show, you see new designs of a particular designer and order it brand new.
