WHen a store has a trunk show do they only show the new pieces that they didn't have in the store or do they show the new along with the older or current designes that they have in the store? I want to go to a trunk show ot see the new designs but I already like a dress that the store already has. DO you think the dresss the store already has would also get the discount that the trunk show dresses are being sold as.

They usually show the new styles, but I would go anyway. You may be able to meet with a designer and discuss your choice. I know some high end designers that will meet with brides and make changes to the original design and work out prices. Its worth giving it a shot!!

Yes. I went to a trunk show and tried on dresses the store had and new designs brought just for the trunk show. I wound up going with a new design but would have received the discount on any of the designers dresses.

Usually they have the designer's entire collection along with some one-of-a-kinds (samples used in the designer's fashion show that aren't part of the collection). It depends on the shop, but the ones I went to offered the discount on any dress from the designer's collection including the ones they always carry in the store.
I actually picked my dress, and my saleswoman told me to come back for the trunk show to get the discount. I saved about $500 on my gown!
