trunk shows..

so are they worth going to? i am interested in an eve of milady gown - and going to BR in massapequa next week - it will be my first dress shopping experience- theres a trunk show there next month and i was wondering how they work, if theyre chaotic as far as cramped bc so many future brides attend, do they offer discounts , if you have to take your dress home that day if you purchase it at the show.. any thing like that... if you ladies have gone lemme know! thanks

trunk shows..

i did a trunk show for demetrios at macys. basically, their dresses were 15% off if you ordered that day. it was not crowded there, but i feel like a lot of people don't do macys (even though i highly suggest them!) so between that and my grandma getting a discount from being a macys employee years ago, we got a lot of money off my dress :)

My sister actually bought her Eve of Milady gown at a trunk show at Bridal Reflections on 5th Ave. It was not crowded at all. You still require an appointment for the trunk show and the designer usually give a 10-15% discount if you order the dress during the trunk show (you will still get a brand new dress, you don't have to take home the store sample) - although if you do, it might be discounted more??

I also went to a trunk show for Maggie Soterro - it wasn't any different than a regular appointment.

i went to the maggie trunk show last weekend, i went at their first appt sun am (11am) and it wasnt crowded at all.
