Trunk/sample sales/Dress shop recommendations

Hi :) I am going to be on long Island August 1st-10th, EP :) on the 9th. Do you know of any sample sales or trunk shows in that time?

Also, any suggestions for dress shops- have an apt at bayshore, thinking of BR in massapequa, but looking at their designer might be out of price range- do they have dresses under 1500-2000?
Also, good suggestions for BM shops...

TIA :) So excited to go home and shop with my mom and sisters

I honestly would not suggest Bridal Suite in Bayshore- my friends and I have had several negative experiences there.

I loved Bridal Reflections in Mass., Lillette's in Baldwin and I've heard of good things about Adrienne's and Paradise Bridal in Patchogue.

Everyone has dresses in your price range- but be adament about only seeing dresses in your price range if that could become an issue for you (particularly at BR)

Check their websites for trunk shows... typically more of the higher end stores sponsor shows (because they are the money makers and will guarantee $ all around)

Have fun and good luck!!

This is not in Long Island, but when I visit my fh's mom in Milburn there is a bridal shop called Calvary Bridal House. They are having a Sample Sale for July.

Here is there website

Check out Helen's Bridal in Commack (since you are in Bayshore). They don't have a huge selection of gowns, but they are very reasonable and the service is outstanding! Unfortunately, their Maggie Sottero trunk show is this weekend, but if you give them a wink and a smile, you might be able to twist their arm to get you the trunk show price. They said they would do that for me if I decided to buy the dress I liked a week or two later.

So what's the deal with the trunk show anyway? Do you have to buy it on the spot or can you put a deposit?
I'm going to the Maggie trunk show tomorrow at Helen's

I wonder how it works, do you buy off the rack? Do they typically have many sizes?
