My dress is already in, but I don't want to start getting fitted until 2 months before the wedding, as I'm trying to lose those last 10 lbs, but I do want to try on the dress now just to see how it fits. Has anyone done this, or will the salon even let me do it? TIA!

Mine let me try it on in July, first fitting was in September!!!!!

I tried my dress on before my 3 fittings, The dress store actually recommended it

i guess it just depends on the person...i was a freak and waited till my first fitting ...i did go & look at it, but i never tried it on.lol. i figured the less i tried it on, the less chance i had of something happening to it (ie: getting a pull, getting dirtied, blah blah blah).

you should at least go and check it out even if you don't want to try it on. make sure it's the right dress first of all and if there are any flaws on it, holes, missing beads, etc.

Mine wouldnt even let me touch it when it came in and gave me grief over wanting to see it should have known from right then that their service stunk
