Trying on Dresses

Trying on Dresses

I want to go with some of my BM's and try on dresses for fun with no real intention to buy yet.... I want to do the actual shopping with my mom and FMIL. However I want to get a feel for what looks nice on me as far a styles and fit. Will bridal consultants get mad if you are just looking? Or should I just not tell them my intentions.

I wouldn't tell them you're just doing it for fun and I wouldn't have your BMs act non-professional about it...you have to remember that the consultants work off commission so if they know you are not serious about buying they probably won't want to help you at all.

Also, you never know, you could find something you really like!

its when you're not looking that you'll end up finding the one you love...

i would ask your mom first about how she feels about that... i went with my mom the first time i tried gowns on and she loved it... but i was trying some on with a friend and ended up finding 'the one' at that time... so mom was a little bummed...

I feel this way if I find something I really love and its meant for me It'll be there when I want to buy or somewhere else in the world. Its not now or never.

so far, I've only gone with friends... I told my mother that once I found a few dresses that I can't decide (which I know that will happen) I'll bring her for the final decision. she has that whole 'it's your wedding that I'm giving you money towards so I get to pick EVERYTHING'-complex going on... so yea I'm going to avoid a big fight
