Trying on the dress

Trying on the dress

My dress came in April however, the place said it's in storage and they don't like brides trying on their dress until the fitting because it can get dirty.

Did you try on your dress after it came in?

Absolutely! I went there a couple days after it came in and tried it on again.

Yes. I had an initial fitting.

AKA they dont feel like getting it out and letting you try it on when you're not shelling out any money. If you press hard enough, they'll let you.

That's ridiculous, you paid for the dress and unless your place is different, you aren't obligated to have them do the alterations. I'd def make a big stink over this....and you should see it, what if it's the wrong color, size, style, or damaged... I'm Sure it's fine but mistakes happen- I'd Just feel more comfortable seeing it and trying it on to make sure it's perfect.

My place said the same thing but I insisted on going in for a fitting....good thing I did because the dress was too short and they needed to send it back to the manufacturer!

I went to my place to try on the sample to show my family and low and behold, my dress had come in. They had insisted that I try it on to make sure that I was in love with it. They felt that NOW was the time to make sure of that and NOT later. They did require me to stay in the room tho because they were worried about it getting dirty. It was a nice peace of mind to know that I LOVED it. I would def push the issue.

They had me come in to try my dress on when it came in. They wanted me to inspect it for size, color, bead work and detail. Then they will hold it till I have my first fitting.

RK Bridal told me I had to come in to try on the dress when it arrived, to make sure that everything was correct. That way if there was an error in color or sizing, they'll have time to fix it. I recommend calling them and pressing to try it on, it wont take alot of their time.

Thanks girls! I really need to talk to the manager bc after my mom paid in full. They called 30 minutes and said they undercharged us. So they had to charge an extra 200ish dollars. Should I fight over that too.

Definitley go try it on and inspect it. My dress had a defect and had to be sent back (luckily there was plenty of time). I would insist on it.

I'm trying on my dress today and taking it with me. Did anyone Buy a dress and have it altered somewhere else?
