Trying to avoid kleinfelds - can you help

Original post by vhollo01

I dont mean to offend anyone but I've seen posts on here that they are pretty obnoxious there - well - more so than at other places. I don't think that would sit well with me. But I've been looking on the knot.com for dresses, and it seems that they are the only game in town. Does anyone know of any places that have a good selection of dresses.

I think the Manhasset Bridal salon might be OK.

Thanks!

At Kleinfeld- try to work with Audrey or Margaret-- they are both fabulous and very 'motherly'..

I'm using Margaret .. her and my mom got along great! Same generation!

What did they say?

Actually this was Bridal Couture
When i went we had to wait for a few minutes downstairs BUT......there was a girl looking at dresses with the lady.... all of teh sudden we heard 'well you keep changiong your mind..if you want help then you need to choose one style and stick with it otherwise we will get no where!!!!!!!!me and my BM's almost walked out!Everywhere i had been they said try on all different styles

Wedding Salon of Manhasset
i heard a girl give a price range and the lady said well (with a laugh) you don't have much of a choice here....i might mention that the price range was not rediculous...
when we were trying on dresses in the BM side...one lady that worked tehre was making us feel very uncomfortable... she was talking badly about another girl trying on dresses
all in all i just would not buy my dress there based on my experience
BOTTOM LINE!!! THEY WERE A BIT SNOTTY!...not towards me but i just didnt think it was professional how they were talking about other potential customers

I thought that was so rude! I just thought they were rude!!

I had a pleasant experience at Bridal reflections!! they were so nice and helpful

Kleinfelds treated me very well I think if you don't go you are cheating yourself out of a lot of fun and some of the best gowns on the world. My friends have been treated very nicly there also. Some people are just way to fussy and really don't get along with anyone Go have fun and enjoy

RK bridal has great selections and you don't need an appointment to look for a dress.

i was wary about kleinfeld's too, but i gave it a shot and had a great experience - my sales assistant was terrific and after trying on a ton of dresses i ended up buying the second dress i tried on! you really can't beat the selection at kleinfeld's - even if you don't end up buying there, i would go just for the experience!

We worked with her this weekend since we went back and Audrey was booked, and we needed to go early and for the trunk show-- she was very nice-- but I had like 2 consultants on Saturday!! Audrey kept checking on me-- anyway, bought my dress there.. I agree that place can get crazy-- but, my experience was good. And they have quite the operation going- I trust that my dress is in good hands.
