Trying to plot my invite project continues.... rhinestones?

Trying to plot my invite project continues.... rhinestones?

Trying to formulate my game plan here... I think I want to add a crystal/rhinestone to the invite to add a little extra.... can I get these at AC Moore or something? Is there a special glue I need?

Also, what is best to put together the mat and the invite to the pocketfold.... I see people talking about glue dots... never used these before, do they work the best with paper crafts? Can I get them at a craft store?

michaels and ac moore have rhinestone stickers, so no glue required.

I bought sheets of clear rhinestone stickers at Michaels. They are made by Brides Magazine and come with 40 stickers all the same size

awesome, great to know! All I want is clear! Do they stick pretty well? (They won't pop off easily?)

for my cake topper i am using rhinestones from Michaels, their own brand (usually in the middle of an aisle on a stand) they can be hot fixed (?) on...which i think you can do with paper...and i believe they are swarovoski (sp) crystals.

I bought crystals from a local craft store in west hempstead - Ace Handicraft. They have them behind the counter. For a bag of 100 is was 5 bucks. I put two on each invitation (i didn't want to pay an extra 40 bucks to have my invitation person do it) I used reg fabric/material glue and put them on w/ a tweezer. It took me a little over an hour. But I got nervous they would fall off and the next day went around each one again w/ a small amount of crazy glue.

I have tried them on a few invites, and I am actually going to finish up making them this weekend, but no the ones I have tried have not popped off. I was thinking of adding a little extra glue but so far they are on there pretty tight.

The really nice ones are kinda pricey ($4-6 a pack) . But they are gorgeous!! I used those for my STD's I bought a clear glue and used a tweezer to apply them just the the nail salon does lol . Now I'm using the cheaper ones to put my BM's initials on their totes.

Also, I would add a glue to the sticky ones. I bought pre-adhesive ones from Michael's they stuck well at first but then the adhesive tends to wear and causes them to fall off

I bought a sheet of clear rhinestone stickers - the picture on the front of the package actually marketed them as embellishments for cell phones! LOL But, I bought them in a paper crafting store, so they worked out just fine!

I used two forms of adhesive - glue dots - one in each corner and one on each of the long sides of my invite. I also used that adhesive that rolls on like a tape dispenser. Both worked equally well.

Pics in my DIY album!
