Oh my.. Since I am at work today.SUnday 4/3/05.. I decided to bring in my invitations and practice tieing the bow around the invites, but it's hard..THEy sent one sample. I wish they would have tied them all.. ANy suggestions?? It's around paper , so u can't pull too tight.. and the string is not that long, it's exactly as the pic.
A little birdy told me that Ang&Rich is VERY creative and may have any suggestions....
that birdy is right...ang&rich is so crafty. your invites are beautiful

Re: Trying to Tie this BOW!!
lol...here I am...you're all so sweet.
Okay...so about that bow...A couple suggestions:
1. put something heavy down on top of the paper before you make the bow. It will prevent the paper from pulling up when you tie the bow
2. hold the invitation upside down when making the bow so it is presented the right way when you hold the invitation properly. I always find that making the bow upside down help...but that might just be me.
3. When doing the bows for my programs I found that making a knot before making the bow helped...you might want to consider this.

Re: Trying to Tie this BOW!!
oh....one other thing...
If you cut a piece of cardboard the same size as the invite it might be easier to tie the bows on that and then just slip them on the invite afterwards.

Re: Trying to Tie this BOW!!
i had to tie bows on my invites, too and i found that if i tied it like a shoelace but with a twist, they were perfectly straight. so take the two ends and wrap over each other like a shoelace. then, instead of taking one side and going OVER the other, go BEHIND it and continue.
