TTC and irregular periods
How do you handle this? How do you know when you are ovulating if your period shows up whenever?
I am very irregular, I will go months without getting my period. Anyone else in this boat too?

Re: TTC and irregular periods
Hi! My girlfriend had very irregular periods..I may be wrong..forgive me if I am..but I think your period tells you that you do indeed ovulate, without a period, you may not be ovulating every month. My friend went to the Doc and they put her on something to help her have regular periods and to ovulate..I will try and find out what she is taking...best of luck to you!!!

Re: TTC and irregular periods
I also have very irregular periods. My OB told me if I go past day 35 my body is probably not ovulating. Before going on Clomid I was getting AF every 37-40 days, now since I have been taking Clomid I am getting it around every 32-34 days. I would ask your Dr what they think, maybe they will put you on Clomid.Good Luck!!!

Re: TTC and irregular periods
I plam on talking to the dr. about this, I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this.Clomid? What is it exactly?
I know the pill regulates periods but prevents pregnancy, I guess that is what I am wondering, is there something that regulates it but in order to get pregnant.

Re: TTC and irregular periods
The best way you can determine if you are ovulating and when is by charting. It's especially helpful if your periods are irregular, but good for everyone since even with regular cycles, you won't know what day in the cycle you are ovulating (for most women it is not exactly in the middle of the cycle).I used FertilityFriend for charting - such an awesome site - and I used ovulation predictor tests to help even further.
As for Clomid, it does not necessarily regulate your cycles, but it stimulates ovulation for those who are not releasing eggs, and stimulates multiple eggs much of the time to help boost the pregnancy chances.
Good luck!!
